My wife and I have eaten at Eve four times, and Eve is without a doubt the best food that we've had in Michigan. The nacho appetizer is incredible - fried wontons covered in gouda w/ a touch of creme freche, order it, you won't be disappointed. The menu is well written and offers choices to all palates. The daily fish specials are excellent. And definitely save room for dessert - get the Triple Chocolate thing - it is perfect.
Great service at eve - laid back but knowledgeable. The bartender is great- he knows his wine and won't hesitate to make a suggestion. We've bought a case of wine from the restaurant before. Some people may feel that eve is pricey (entrees in the $18-30 range), but you get what you pay for. Once you've eaten at eve, you can always buy the cookbook as a gift for that special someone.
Highly recommend eve. Super highly. Four stars.
